Work site: Remote (on call) Portage Co. area
Start Date: as soon as possible
Starting Pay: $20.28-$22.11 per hour, depending on experience
Status: LTE, 0-10 hours per week based on appointment need

Duties: This position provides translation and interpretation services to Spanish speaking individuals accessing local health care and/or legal assistance. The Interpreter will assist non-English speaking individuals in accessing medical services such as scheduling appointments, arranging transportation, and follow-up services. This position will also assist with legal interpretation for community service providers such as law enforcement agencies and the judicial system.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Technical certification in bilingual interpretation plus three years of related interpreter experience;
- OR High school diploma with continuing education in interpreting, plus four years of related experience.
Specialized training in medical terminology and court interpreting is desirable.
Proficiency in Spanish required; must be able to communicate clearly in English and Spanish in order to comprehend and interpret written and verbal communications in order to provide accurate translating services.
