CAP Services’ Family Crisis Center (FCC) offers services to victims of domestic violence or abuse through offices in Stevens Point, Waupaca and Wautoma as well as through FCC’s emergency shelter in Stevens Point.
Domestic Violence Outreach Services
Services are available 24 hours a day by telephone (1-800-472-3377). Walk-in services are also available 24-hours a day at the FCC shelter in Stevens Point. Walk-in services are available at the outreach offices during traditional business hours in Portage, Waupaca, and Waushara counties. Services include domestic abuse education, support and advocacy services, court accompaniment, assistance with temporary restraining orders (TRO).
Support Groups
Ongoing support groups are offered for domestic abuse victims and those in controlling relationships. A children’s group also is available. All are designed to help victims understand domestic violence and facilitate healing.
