Starting Pay: $18.40-$20.05 per hour, depending on experience

Status: LTE 20 hours per week for the tax season

Duties: This position is designed to meet the needs of residents for free income tax filing. This role oversee the delivery of free tax assistance services in a single county, including supporting volunteers and ensuring accuracy and compliance with IRS regulations.
The Tax Assistance Coordinator requires some evening and weekend hours primarily during tax season (January-April). This seasonal opportunity is expected to run through April 30, with the ability to return for subsequent seasons (pending performance).

Minimum Qualifications:
– Associate’s degree in human service area, accounting or business management with two years of related experience;
– OR a high school diploma with four years related work experience.
Experience in a supervisory position desirable, leading to a working knowledge of program and staff/volunteer management.
Working knowledge of tax filing software preferred, with ability to quickly learn and use system designated by the IRS for VITA programs.
