Starting Pay: $18.23-$19.87 per hour, depending on experience

Status: Part-time, 20 hours per week. Seasonal opportunity, Oct. 1-Apr. 30

Duties: This position is designed to meet the needs of residents for free income tax filing. This role will develop local partner support, recruit and train volunteers, and oversee the delivery of free tax assistance services in a single county.

The Tax Assistance Coordinator requires some evening and weekend hours primarily during tax season (February-April). This seasonal opportunity is expected to run from 10/1 – 4/30, with the ability to return for subsequent seasons (pending performance).


Minimum Qualifications:

– Associate’s degree in human service area, accounting or business management with two years of related experience;
– OR a high school diploma with four years related work experience.

Experience in a supervisory position desirable, leading to a working knowledge of program and staff/volunteer management.

Moderate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) as well as Google applications (Gmail, Calendar, Drive) at hire. Working knowledge of tax filing software preferred, with ability to quickly learn and use system designated by the IRS for VITA programs.

Ability to maintain client confidentiality.

Must be flexible and highly organized to meet demands of a seasonal program.
