Work site: Family Crisis Center – Stevens Point, WI

Starting Pay: $18.65-$20.32 per hour, depending on experience

Status: LTE, 0-16 hours per week, as needed position

 

Duties:  The position exists to meet the immediate needs of callers on a 24-hour crisis and information hotline and walk-in visitors presenting for a variety of concerns including mental health, family dysfunction, domestic abuse and sexual assault.  The position also meets the needs of domestic violence victims and their children as well as youth-in-crisis who are receiving emergency shelter services at the Family Crisis Center.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in psychology, social work, human services or related degree and One year of relatable work or work considered preparatory, leading to a working knowledge of crisis intervention/youth/domestic violence/sexual assault services;
  • OR Associates Degree in related field and three years of the same work or work considered preparatory, leading to a working knowledge of crisis intervention/youth/domestic violence/sexual assault services;
  • OR High School Diploma and 5 years of relatable work or work considered preparatory, leading to a working knowledge of crisis intervention/youth/domestic violence/sexual assault services.
  • Must be able to respond on site within 30 minutes of being contacted during scheduled on call.
