Work site:                   Family Crisis Center – Stevens Point, WI

Start Date:                  as soon as possible                           

Starting Pay:              $17.66-$19.25 per hour, depending on experience

Status:                        Full time – 33 hours per week

Duties:  This “in shelter” position exists to meet the immediate needs of callers on a 24-hour crisis and information hotline and walk-in visitors presenting for a variety of concerns including mental health, family dysfunction, domestic abuse and sexual assault and the needs of domestic violence victims and their children as well as youth-in-crisis who are receiving emergency shelter services at the Family Crisis Center.

Minimum Qualifications:

BS/BA in related field (psychology, social work, human services) or non-related degree; and one year of the same work or work considered preparatory, leading to a working knowledge of crisis intervention/youth/domestic violence services; OR

Associates Degree in related field and three years of the same work or work considered preparatory, leading to a working knowledge of crisis intervention/youth/domestic violence/sexual assault services. OR

High School Diploma and 5 years of relatable work or work considered preparatory, leading to a working knowledge of crisis intervention/youth/domestic violence/sexual assault services.

Must be able to respond on site within 30 minutes of being contacted during scheduled on call.
