Emergency Shelter at CAP Services’ Family Crisis Center offers free and confidential 24/7, crisis line and walk in services, as well as being a safer place to stay for victims of domestic or sexual violence and their children.
Staff assist victims of violence and their children in identifying alternatives to the problems they are experiencing, and also provide assistance with the completion of temporary restraining order petitions, obtaining child care, securing transportation, finding housing, etc.
Folks in shelter are provided with short-term emergency housing, food, and other basic needs. But in addition to supplying basic needs, the FCC also has support groups, and provides access to other programs that assist a person in making the changes that they feel are necessary, to moving on to a violence free life.
You don’t have to go it alone, because you’re not alone, and the staff at shelter welcomes the opportunity to support you through your process.
