Start Date: as soon as possible
Starting Pay: $21.86-$23.82 per hour, depending on experience
Status: Full time, 37.5 hours per week, flexible

Duties: Utilizing a case-management approach, this position is designed to provide education and resources to individuals experiencing housing instability. The Housing Counselor is responsible for providing housing education coaching to eligible clients through one-on-one and group sessions. The role includes offering feedback and assessments as needed to align with the goals of the Housing Counseling program(s).
Minimum Qualifications: 
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field preferred with at least 2 years of related experience, OR
• Associate’s degree in a non-related field with at least 4 years of experience working with adults in an educational or non-profit setting, OR
• High School Diploma plus 5 years of experience working with adults in an educational or non-profit setting.
-Achieve the HUD Housing Counseling certification within 6 months of hire. (All fees, learning materials and supplies are paid for by CAP.)
