Work site: Children’s Discovery Center – Stevens Point

Start Date: as soon as possible                             

Starting Pay: $12.03-$13.11 per hour, depending on experience

Sign-on Bonus: $1,000—details at time of interview

Status: Full-time – 37.5 hours per week

Duties: Responsible for assisting the teacher in preparing and conducting classroom activities which provide a developmentally age and stage appropriate curriculum, utilizing developmentally appropriate practices as outlined in the Program’s philosophy and Creative Curriculum.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; and
  • Two courses in Early Childhood Education through an institute of higher education; and
  • Six months related work experience working directly with children.

Obtain and maintain a current certificate of completion for infant and child cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) within 3 months of hire and a certificate of completion of shaken baby syndrome training prior to working in the center.
