Work site: Family Crisis Center – Stevens Point
Start Date: as soon as possible
Starting Pay: $15.73-$17.17 per hour, depending on experience
Status: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week

Duties: Will provide trauma informed, client directed services to parents/guardians and children/youth impacted by domestic violence and sexual violence. Will provide victim advocacy and will assist with applications for temporary restraining order petitions and crime victim compensation. May accompaniment to judicial proceedings (law enforcement/court proceedings), and may need to accompaniment to emergency room or other medical care providers.
- BS in human services, social work, psychology, criminal justice, or a related field and one year experience (sexual assault, domestic abuse, crisis intervention, sociology, human services) leading to working knowledge of family development, advocacy and support services; or
- Associate degree in human services, sociology, or psychology and three years’ experience; or
- High school diploma or equivalent and five years’ experience.
- Must understand the dynamics of sexual assault/abuse and/or domestic abuse and the effect on victims within 30 days of hire. Must understand, or acquire within three months of hire, an understanding of laws relating to restraining orders/harassment/stalking.
