Work site:                   1608 West River Dr., Stevens Point

Start Date:                  as soon as possible                           

Starting Pay:              $17.01-$18.57 per hour, depending on experience

Status:                        Part-time – 20 hours per week

Duties:  Will provide client-directed services to victims of interpersonal violence (domestic abuse, sexual assault) and provide victim advocacy services as needed.  Advocacy services include information and referral, safety, planning, assistance with application for temporary restraining order petitions and crime victim compensation, accompaniment to judicial proceedings (reporting to law enforcement/court proceedings), or accompaniment to emergency room or other medical care providers.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS in human services, social work or psychology plus one year experience (sexual assault, domestic abuse, crisis intervention, sociology, human services) leading to a working knowledge of family development, advocacy and support services; or
  • Associate degree in human services, social work or psychology plus three years’ experience as specified above; or
  • High school diploma or equivalent and five years’ experience as specified above.
  • Must be fluent in English/Spanish or English/Hmong base on service population needs.
