Work site: CAP Services Admin office, 2900 Hoover Rd Ste A, Stevens Point WI
Start Date: as soon as possible
Starting Pay: $16.33 – $17.80 per hour, depending on experience
Status: Full time, 37.5 hours per week

Duties: Perform core financial functions of the corporation: accounts payable, agency payroll, accounts receivable, loans receivable, and general ledger functions including reconciliations in a complex, fast paced environment. CAP Services Inc. is a non-profit organization with diverse activities including housing, early childhood services, lending and various social service activities, funded by federal, state, local grants, program fees, contributions, rent, interest, and miscellaneous income.
Education: Associate’s degree in accounting; or one year technical college certificate in accounting plus one year experience in comparable position; or high school diploma and three years’ experience in comparable position.
Experience: Three years of work considered to be directly preparatory to the position leading to a broad and detailed knowledge of job responsibilities and methods.
Working knowledge of accrual accounting practices
Experience with accounting practices including source documentation, account reconciliation, formulating journal entries, using complex charts of accounts, and following regulations and restrictions imposed by funding sources.
Ability to organize workload and operate independent of daily supervision
Must be able to produce highly accurate and detail oriented work and possess high degree of proficiency with computers including the use of productivity software and Microsoft Excel
Experience with at least one module of computerized accounting software (accounts payable/receivable, etc.)
