Take the Domestic Abuse Pledge

Home/What's New/Take the Domestic Abuse Pledge

2016-pledge-to-end-dvOctober is Domestic Abuse Awareness Month.

Purple is the color we proudly wear to promote healthy relationships and honor victims and survivors of domestic abuse. Domestic abuse is about one person trying to use power and control over another through abuse and manipulation. To learn more or to get support, call CAP Services’ Family Crisis Center 24-hour, toll-free, confidential line at 800-472-3377 to speak with someone about your situation.

More than 1 in 3 women have experienced physical violence, rape, and/or stalking by a partner in their lifetime and approximately 7 million women are raped and/or physically assaulted by a former partner each year. This needs to stop!

Take the pledge to help stop domestic abuse today, and share this post widely on social media using the links below. Photograph yourself and your family, friends, club, church group, or sports team taking the pledge and share them with us on CAP Services’ facebook page.
